McNally's Price Guide For Collectible Soundtrack Records (1950-1990)

For Long Playing (LP) Record Collectors this is the essential catalog. Although self published by Keith and Dorie McNally in 1994, this catalog has never been updated. Even at that it remains the best LP catalog available. It has been out of print for years.

This catalog is filled with over 780 photos of rare LPs (foreign and domestic). It even has photos of some of the rarer domestic EPs. Some of the important contents:

Sountracks: A Brief History And Composer Biographies

Top 100 US Soundtracks

Top 100 Foreign Soundtracks

A Brief Overview Of Foreign Soundtrack Pressings

Soundtrack Collecting In Europe

Commercial US Movie Soundtracks On LP

Special Issue US Movie Soundtracks On LP

US Movie Soundtracks On Seven Inch LP

US Television Soundtracks On LP

US Original Cast Soundtracks On LP

Foreign Soundtracks

The catalog covers a lot of ground. Since it is over 13 years old, there are problems, i.e. , prices, soundtrack sources, etc. However, you can still see which LPs were super rare then as they remain the super rare LPs of today with minor exceptions.

This truly is a must have if you consider yourself a serious LP collector.
